The Importance of Checking Your Proofs (Part 1)

  • Dec 9, 2024

What is a Proof and Why Does It Matter?

A proof is essentially a sample or preview of what your finished product will look like, often provided in digital format. It’s the final checkpoint where you get to review the design, layout, colors, fonts, and even the spelling of text. The importance of this step cannot be overstated. Even the smallest oversight in your design can lead to significant errors that could have serious consequences.

Check. Your. Proof.

When creating promotional products for your business, whether it's custom t-shirts, branded pens, or lanyards, there’s one critical step that can save you time, money, and embarrassment—checking your proofs. The proof is the final version of your design that the manufacturer sends for approval before production begins. Skipping this step or rushing through it can lead to costly mistakes that could affect your brand image and your bottom line.
